In the morning of June 3, Jessica Simpson's marriage to Nick Lachey took its latest public hit when a woman named Jennifer Rivell called a Philadelphia radio station and claimed on air that her ex-fiance told her he slept with Jess. Her ex is super-hot pro skateboarder Bam Margera, 25, star of MTV's Viva La Bam. Jenn, 32, said on Q102's morning show that Bam told her he had a fling with Jessica after breaking off his seven-year relationship with Jenn earlier this year.
Was it an honest tale of a newlywed's infidelity — or an impulsive call to a radio station by a spurned lover? Rivell insists the tale is true, and backed it up in an exclusive interview with Star. But Bam spoke to Star, too, in two separate interviews, and both times denied Jenn's claims. "I know Jessica, and we did hang out together, but nothing major happened," he says.
WHAT HAPPENED?
The night — really the early morning — in question is April 19, when, after 2 a.m., Jess, 24, was seen leaving L.A.'s Roxy nightclub with Bam and others. After partying at the club's weekly Metal Skool event — for the second week in a row — she, Bam and friends got into an SUV and headed to Jess' parents' home. Nick, 31, was working in Sweden.
Jenn says she became convinced by an e-mail that something happened between Bam and Jess.
Earlier this year, a suspicious Jenn secretly arranged to have Bam's e-mails forwarded to her e-mail account. One of them, from a friend of his, said, "Congrats on Jessica Simpson." Jenn says that Bam's reply was: "Yeah, it was the craziest thing. I woke up in her bed the next morning."
Bam Margera’s ex-girlfriend, a girl by the name of Jen, phoned in to the Chico in the Morning Show on Philadelphia’s Q102 radio station and she flat out said that Jess not only had sex with Johnny Knoxville, but that she f%cked Bam too. That girl gets around!
This latest accusation comes hot on the heels of Margera’s father, Phil, telling another Philadelphia radio station that Bam did bam bam Jessica. Hoping to squelch the gossip tongues from wagging, Bam later said that his dad was full of shit. However, Margera’s ex claims that his father was telling the truth.
THE LAST WORD
So it was all a joke, eh? Bam Margera's girlfriend, Jenn Rivell, was supposed to be all pissed off after a [staged] "fight" with Bam, then called up a Philly radio station to announce that the married Jessica Simpson had bammed her Bam -- as well as Johnny Knoxville. Now it’s out that it was all a publicity stunt.
Whoa-hooooo! Not so funny to Star Magazine which ran a pic of Jessica on the cover with the tag: "New Cheating Scandal." Jossip is reporting that Bam and Jess weaseled a reported $8,000 out of the mag for the "exclusive" running in this week’s issue. Now Bam is saying that he spent the night at Jessica’ parents house, but with 10 other people, and there was no sex. Ha! So what else did they do? Did Bam show Jessica how to fire pop bottle rockets outta her butt?
